Mike Comber: Mike Comber will be forming a consultancy to support small and medium size enterprises meet their obligations under REACH. The consultancy will be known as “Mike Comber Consulting”. He has experienced product development and registration for specialty chemical companies (while working for ICI/AstraZeneca), was responsible for the world wide registration of drug intermediates (AstraZeneca) and the hazard and exposure assessment of petroleum products (ExxonMobil). His experience in this field and his contacts within industry makes his involvement in the dissemination of the results essential.

Dr. Mike Comber will be involved in Workpackages 2, 4, and 5. He also has an in-depth experience in practical applications of risk assessment methodologies both to human health and environment. He has pub­lished over 30 sci­en­tific papers, and is currently in­volved in two FP6 EU projects, CAESAR and NORMAN. Previously he was a member of the ECETOC task force that developed the TRA tool for screening risk assessments. Within CADASTER, Dr. Comber will serve as the direct intermediate between the CADASTER consortium and industry, specifically CEFIC and ECETOC as well as the evaluation of the ECETOC TRA tool.
